Accessibility Statement
We're committed to making our Flushing store and this website usable for everyone. This page describes how we work toward that goal and how you can let us know when we fall short.
Last updated: June 2026. This statement applies to 123 Building — both our website and our walk-in storefront at 32-03 Farrington St, Flushing NY 11354.
Our commitment
123 Building believes everyone should be able to learn about, contact and shop our store. We work toward this by following recognized accessibility standards in our website design and by making practical accommodations in our physical store.
Standards we follow
Our website is designed to substantially conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We test for and address common issues including:
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks (header, nav, main, footer).
- Skip-to-content link for keyboard users.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Sufficient color contrast for body text and interactive controls.
- Alternative text on meaningful images.
- Labels associated with form inputs.
- Responsive layouts that work at 200% zoom on common screen sizes.
- Reduced-motion media query to limit animation for users who request it.
In our physical store
Our Flushing storefront at 32-03 Farrington Street has:
- Ground-floor entry without steps.
- Wide central aisles to support mobility aids.
- Accessible street parking nearby and several municipal lots within a short distance.
- Staff available to help locate, retrieve and carry merchandise from the floor.
- Receipts and ticketed pricing in standard print; we'll read tags out loud on request.
If you would like staff assistance for a specific visit — for example, help walking the floor or staging items at the door — please call ahead at (516) 423-5841 so we can be ready.
Known limitations
Like any operating business, we have areas we are actively improving. Examples include third-party embeds (such as map iframes) whose internal accessibility we do not control, and ongoing work to ensure newly added pages meet the same standards as the rest of the site. We welcome reports so we can prioritize fixes.
How to report an issue or request help
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website or in our store, please tell us so we can address it:
- Phone: (516) 423-5841 during store hours.
- Contact form: visit our contact page and mark the subject as "Accessibility."
- In person: ask any staff member at 32-03 Farrington St, Flushing NY 11354.
Where possible, please include the page or store area, the device or assistive technology you were using, and a description of the issue. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe with an acknowledgment and a plan for next steps.
Continuing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. We review this statement and our website periodically, address reported issues, and incorporate feedback into our normal cycle of design and content updates. Thank you for helping us serve every customer better.
